I am thinking of revising this template so that it stretches along the bottom of the articles instead, like a Navbox. An advantage would be that the template could then be expanded to include more items without interfering with the layout of the article. The drawback here is that the template will not be as easily visible once one goes to an article having this template, since it will be placed at the bottom of the article. Someday when I have time, I might revise this new template, but in the meantime you can try to do it yourself, if you like. Here is an examle:
