The men were also trained meticulously in the assembly and operation of German weapons in the event that it became necessary to utilize captured German machine guns on the battlefield. This training would later prove to be of crucial importance at Monte Majo. 1126:, Canada's most decorated First Nations soldier of World War II. Prince was not given an award for his actions at Monte Majo in order to avoid compromising the security of further secret operations.
