the Woodhaven Boulevard station began a three-year renovation project as part of a general refurbishment of seventy New York City Subway stations. The refurbishment added a new token booth, new signage and platform edge strips, replaced platform tiles, staircase components, and lighting, and restored the station's restrooms. Four new turnstiles were added at the east end of the station, a new east-end staircase was added to the north side of Queens Boulevard and the west-end staircase was widened. A new public address system was added to the station, the west end token booth was moved closer to the turnstiles and turnstiles equipped for the Automated Fare Collection system were installed. The project was expected to be completed in September 1996. After the renovation, the station retained the now out-of-date "Woodhaven Blvd–Slattery Plaza" name tablets.

In November 2022, the MTA announced that it would award a $ 965 million contract for the installation of 21 elevators across eight stations, including Woodhaven Boulevard. A joint venture of ASTM and Halmar International would construct the elevators under a public-private partnership. Currently, the station is currently undergoing renovations to install elevators at the station. 4965: 1564: 1536: 603: 1177: 4977: 4971: 4960: 4954: 4590: 4387: 1647: 1625: 1604: 1582: 1559: 1554: 1531: 1526: 1499: 1480: 1462: 1443: 65: 59: 1165: 692: 667: 642: 550: 545: 1771: 292: 274: 488: 1010: 904: 810: 1056: 1038: 1017: 1003: 817: 803: 769: 751: 4333: 1064: 1046: 977: 970: 937: 930: 890: 883: 850: 843: 777: 759: 75: 984: 963: 944: 923: 897: 876: 857: 836: 450: 4328: 4219: 1806:
