two (and please dont say that last name in front of me again :D) Eftekasat are quite important since 1) They are one of the very first Jazz bands in Egypt (and i'm sure you know by now that Egypt coming up with a Jazz band is a miracle in itself!) 2) They are international. 3) They are one of the very first Egyptian bands to make an album! 4) They are involved greatly in the local Music scene (probably more than any other Egyptian band) since on average they do about 2 or 3 concerts a month (in Cairo and/or Alexandria) and they were invited to several SOS festivals (not sure how many though :)) 5) I dont see why they shouldnt be given more than 'mid' if we compared them to Umm Kulthum! :P:D I mean, ya Umm Kulthum is probably the most notable singer in Egypt (and probably the Middle East) but so is Eftekasat. I mean, please provide a 'greater' or more notable band than Eftekasat. :)

looked into the Arabic Knowledge, there are treasures of articles which just need to be translated. I'm more than happy to start doing this but the problem of notability will most probably arise. So my question is, if something is notable enough (with lack of references, whether Arabic or English) to be posted on the Arabic Knowledge, will it be acceptable to be articlized in the English one WITHOUT references? Thanks.
1119:, etc. which is I what I believe the Africa WP should be broken up into. Even WikiProject Europe doesn't directly cover individual countries like France or Germany which are covered by the daughter WikiProjects--the WP Europe banner is not even on their talk pages. As regards banner clutter, I would have agreed until "nesting" became an option that eliminated that problem entirely. Best to use the template you see on 113: 1133:
of text to set it up like that for all the projects that will be using it, but such can be done, with a little effort, for any project banner. Anyway, it was just a proposal in any event. And, for what it's worth, I think I actually proposed 5 regional Africa projects myself at one point. The idea didn't fly, and that's why the one base project was ultimately created in its stead.
138:. Can anybody on this Wikiproject shed light on the notability of this person, and if necessary provide sources that indicate his notability (reviews, awards, major credits)? Even a link to material in Arabic would be something (google translator might not be perfect, but it can capture the gist of things). Thanks, -- 2441:. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. Hello, I have improved this article a lot and it has been for a long time a good article nominee. Please improve this article, as it has lots of sources and references. The article shows the technological efficiency of Egypt and its ambiguous project for creating the fastest and lightest fighter jet.

So can we do a voting or something Zerida? Hi guys, long time no see! I just have a few questions about the notability at the English Knowledge on Arabic/Egyptian related matters. As most of you know, it's pretty hard to find sources over the internet that proves the notability of those stuff even though they are quite important. But when I

No problems whatsoever. For what it's worth, though, the banner is set up in such a way so that, if one were to type "Egypt-importance=Top" in, it would place the article in the Cateory:Top-importance Egypt articles. That's the primary reason the banner is 78 kilobytes long, actually. It takes a lot

flied, I'd be interested in a North Africa project. It just occurred me that it might make more sense to just eliminate the WP Africa banner instead of the country ones. One of the purposes of creating a daughter WikiProject I imagine is that the parent WP can focus on less things. This is why this

However, disregarding all my stated reasons, the fact that Eftekasat are (as far as i know) the first international Egyptian band is an important stop in the history of Egyptian Music. They are probably the first Egyptian band to release an album too! A whole new era is coming up and that is

I think its of mid-importance to a Project dedicated to Egypt and the Egyptian people. If its a major and widely popular band in Egypt, then I guess it could be of high importance. These ratings are not that critical anyhow. As for Mouled Sidi el-Latini, it should be either a low or mid.
