2309:. To my knowledge, there are no over the air signals that are not copyrighted, hence, there is no free image possible. This is a photograph, how could it possibly be OR? Both images were taken at the same time, from the same TV, same antenna, in a very weak signal area, and demonstrates that even if the analog signal gets weaker and weaker, the digital signal is as good as the day it was born. If you prefer, I can reduce the resolution further, but it is already reduced resolution, and is intended to show just how sharp the digital image is in comparison with the analog. I could have done one that showed a weak analog signal and for the digital signal, but that would have been pretty boring. Please let me know what your thinking is. For now I am just removing your speedy deletion template. 1789: 1683: 2841: 2459: 2362: 1387:, you requested a copyright examination. I have looked into the matter, and have communicated with the person who digitized the image and placed it on the web, and claims copyright on it. She declines to authorize use on Knowledge. It is my view that legally the image is PD, and may be used on Knowledge as such, but whether this is a good idea is less clear. Actually, if all you wanted to do was do something like add a standard template to the top or add something like a category to the bottom of a page, it wouldn't be too hard to improve the script to include "prepend" and "append" options. The script would have to save the original content, then output the prepend text, the original article text, and the append text. There's a variety of ways that could be done...
