and churchwardens have now gained permission to gut the place on the grounds of modern community needs. This is a small village, not an inner-city church with massive amounts of parochial and social work to do. They are going to remove the pews (designed by the architect) to clear the floor entirely, and punch a hole in the side for a kitchen and lavatory. Other churches in the area have been adapted far more discreetly. They are going to put in a lot of lighting too. All this will completely destroy the type of theatre for storytelling, in an atmosphere of natural light and shade, that Barber went in for. No longer a peaceful otherworld for sacredness and mystery, but now a secular area for a secular approach. The sad thing is that future generations may well want this building, which is a work of art, to go back the way it was, but the pews and maybe other stuff will be gone forever. I have no religion myself, but even I can see that the place had atmosphere.

In the interests of consistency, should the category also use his initials, rather than full name? This is how he is generally referred to in sources. Ultimately, there might be a case for renaming both as "Neville Ashbee" as I formed the impression from one source that this is how he was known in his life, but as yet I haven't found enough evidence to justify a change. In the meantime I think we should have consistency between article and category. 3818: 3229: 2391: 1047: 960: 739: 475: 360: 265: 5859: 5548: 5364: 5146: 4682: 4505: 4432: 4115: 4006: 1978: 5794: 5279: 4262: 3134: 1478: 919: 832: 424: 2870: 3863: 3695: 3011: 1713: 687: 2484: 1929: 2332:, and he also had those same letters after his name (besides FRGS). I see that you've created a number of articles on these ships, which is good. I note the use of a year disambiguator in your titles. As it is quite likely that a number of ships carries the same name, then the use of a year of launch disambiguator is in compliance with MOSSHIP. However, titles should really be at SS 1863: 149:.
