On January 16, 1931, the Borough of Pottstown annexed two portions of Lower Pottsgrove Township: from Moser to Porter Road and an area bounded by Prospect to Mervine and Adams to Charlotte Streets because Pottstown believed "the township had been taking tax money for years and giving nothing in return."
