There was no coding (actionscript), but the basic layout is still the same: vector drawing, layers, scenes, tweens (both motion and shape). The animations I did was a ballerina performing allegro combinations. I used this software for over a year before Macromedia acquired it. Its purpose was to provide animated content with a very small file size at a time when the most common connection to the Internet was dial-up with a 28.8 or 56k modem. The small file size was possible because of vector art capability as opposed to raster (bitmap) and the revolutionary player engine design. Though Macromedia developed the application far above the simple original program, the basic form is still the same. I have consistently kept up with the Flash authoring software through all the versions until the Adobe buyout of Macromedia. FutureSplash should be noted in the development of Flash; its vector program, player engine, and tweening animations are still the base for Flash. (link to FutureSplash articles:

theatres (touring around the US) - apparently the creator used Moho, not just Flash (not what it is really as I've never used Moho). "Minushi" is an independent production (all animated by one person) and may play in a few film festivals - the creator isn't sure right now and is talking with distributors. "Nim's Journey" is a long-term independent project that is quite far from being completed.
1026:--"Lil' Pimp" (USA, produced 2002, released 2005) was a Flash animated feature (I've updated the main article with a reference to it, although you may want to move it into the new section when it's complete), and also Cartoon Network's recently produced TV feature "Re-Animated" was produced at Renegade Animation using Flash, although it combines it with live action. 1050:
common name on this animation genre? How many genres can it be divided into? What is the main difference between Flash and similar stuff? Describing the program and in what way the animation can be used, is like talking about the cameras and how to use traditional cel animation, but not mention the animation techniques with a single word.
1013:
The Fairly OddParents films (I'm not sure that they're flash-animated, but the show is so I'm assuming that they are as well) were only released on TV, and a few are on DVD. The Russian films will be getting theatrical releases. "Sealed with a Kiss" is all animated by one person and is currently in

I have never ever read a good explanation on what Flash Animation actually is. How are the animation created? With a mouse, with a stylus and a graphic tablet or another way? What kind of hardware is used? Is flash the main definition on animation created directly on the screen? If not, what is the
1163:
Just a note about Macromedia developing Flash. Macromedia bought the program from a small group of developers who had marketed the software as "FutureSplash" with the file extension .spl. I have some animations with that file extension I created in 1996 and they can still play in the Flash player.
764:
My reasoning is that wonking the reader in the second paragraph with select examples of substandard Flash animations, as if they define the quality of Flash overall, is weasely. Better to give an example of what Flash does--vector graphics, etc.--and then followup with what can be expected in poor
689:
The entire article is littered with weasely adjectives and qualifiers, and there is a key fallacy in the premise that "Flash animation" rightly refers to anything that is not presented via the Flash renderer (swf) -- regardless of what software is used for production. A cartoon-style film produced
794:
Perhaps a small entry on the good and bad of using Flash on a web page? Flash is beginning to fall out of favor since it's been discovered as a great way to track users and gain personal info about them. Search engines can't read anything in them. I'm sure a rookie web designer or small business
1136:
Regardless who, when, why or how anyone references KoolMoves in the Flash Animation wiki entry, someone removes it and marks it "RV advertising". I am completely unaffiliated with KoolMoves short of the fact that I am an end user of the product and it is a wonderful, viable option to the other
904:
I can help with adding more examples (this is aaron from coldhardflash.com). I've spent the better part of the last 3 years cataloging the character animation portion of Flash animation on my site. I'm going to throw in JibJab's stuff and Homestar Runner. I could go on and on, but this article
723:
Some of the emotional, sympathetic-antithetical content is equally specious. It's as if you have patchworks of pro-con Flash editors (and I suspect the hand of the Apple people in some passages). anyway, that is my rational for a minor structural change I am making now to one paragraph.
1391: 818:? The article seems to implly that multiple times. Many programs export to flash, take Apple's Keynote for example, it's fairly easy to make a limited cartoon using that. Besides, there's the ming library that allows creating flash movies using php or perl scripts. -- 1137:
software listed in the wiki. Why on earth do you people keep removing the link? Yes, it is advertising the product, just as all the other links to other options are advertising thier products. How is it remotely fair to remove one option but not the others?
897:
Removed the tag after some improvements (I think). Someone in the know should add more famous examples besides Krikfalusi, like "Happy Tree Friends" and such. Maybe as a list. The picture isn't really informative, if I find time, I'll try a more typical one.
919:
I'd like to start a section or subsection about the use of Flash to create feature films. A few have been released, and more are on the way, among them a few interesting independent productions. Here are the ones that I've found:

quality animations. The former paragraph seemed worded to give the impression that flash animations are crap, when they may or may not be, depending on the sophistication and skill of the animator.giggle 14:11, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

That makes no sense. There were no Flash comics in the early '90s, because Flash didn't even exist till December 1996, after Macromedia had acquired the Futuresplash Animator technology and released it as Flash 1.0.

Restructured this rather politicized and editorialized paragraph: "Some hallmarks of poorly-produced Flash animation are jerky natural movements (seen in walk-cycles and gestures), auto-tweened character movements,
