Afi Ekong was married to government official Prince Abdul Azizi Attah, son of the Atta of Igbirra, in 1949. She died in 2009, in Calabar, at the age of 78. The Bronze Gallery remains in operation in Calabar. Paintings by Afi Ekong are in the
