had to be there, but now I'm on a mission to serve and protect. I don't like that editors do hit-and-run deletions/reversions, discarding the work of others just to rack up their own edit counts. Why do they do that? Dunno; to accumulate greater (what? power? prestige? will to live?) numbers of edits for its own sake, I guess. Of course, if no one holds their feet to the fire, they'll cite their edit counts when they apply for greater adminship like small-town deputies who want more than their little can of pepper spray.
