Talk:Order of St. Thomas (award)

350:, you need sources that show that the world at large has taken notice of the award, i.e. coverage outside of the church, to show that it has notability. That is just my opinion, you can however test it (remove tag, I then nominate it for deletion) then the community can discuss whether to keep it or delete it. They may well decide that the award is notable and keep it. If you have good independent sources, you can always simply give the publication + title, date and page so others can check it if they have accesss to it (it does not need to be online). Otherwise removing the tag without adding any new independent sources will result in a nomination for deletion (whose result may or may not be favourable to you depending on the community response). 84: 53: 160: 94: 22: 230: 209: 317:, you need reliable independent third party sources. The sources you added are either not independent or are irrelevant to the article (for example simply mentioning these people visited India and not about the award). Without more independent sources, someone looking at the article may very well decide to nominate it for deletion. 305:
This is a very informative article. Kindly don't move it or delete it. Considering that most of the information given here happened within India without much visibility outside, it may be difficult to find other online references, which makes this article extremely valuable. This is probably the only
331:
As someone pointed out above, this is one of the few places where a list of all recipients is consolidated. The best independent source available is reference number . I can send you newspaper cuttings with detailed news about the award being handed to recipients, if you wish to verify. I know that
378:
I've removed the tag, the two news items from The Hindu look fine. In general, avoid using forum as a source, as forums are not considered reliable sources. There are still a number of issues with the article but they are not that important, for example, other attendees are not really relevant to
284: 332:
Wikimedia patrollers will delete any news paper cutting if I upload them, so I am at a loss here. Kindly check reference number at least before tagging this article for notability.

Thank you for making that clear. I have followed your advice and added a number of independent sources. Kindly verify and let me know if more sources are required.

Thanks! I have added all references I could find. Encouraging anyone who has additional resources/references on this topic to keep adding. -Swordofcherubim
